Journey to the Bound States

چکیده
Guided by the observed properties of hadrons I formulate a perturbative bound state method for QED and QCD. The expansion starts with valence Fock states ($e^+e^-,\ q\bar q,\ qqq,\ gg$) instantaneous interaction temporal gauge ($A^0=0$). is tested on Positronium atoms at rest in motion, including hyperfine splitting $O(\alpha^4)$, electromagnetic form factors deep inelastic scattering. Relativistic binding studied $D=1+1$ dimensions, demonstrating frame independence DIS electron distribution its sea $x_{bj} \to 0$. In QCD homogeneous solution Gauss' constraint $D=3+1$ implies $O(\alpha_s^0)$ confining potentials $q\bar qg,\ qqq$ $gg$ states, whereas q\,q\bar q$ unconfined. Meson lie linear Regge trajectories have required dependence. A scalar vanishing four-momentum causes spontaneous chiral symmetry breaking when mixed vacuum. These lecture notes assume knowledge field theory methods, but not states. Brief reviews existing methods Dirac are included. Solutions to exercises given Appendix.

JourneyMap: Visualising the time-bound student journey
A student’s view of higher education is often talked about as ‘transformative’ and as a ‘journey’ or ‘pathway’. The student experience of university is time-bound, covering a clearly specified duration. From a learner’s perspective the Higher Education (HE) journey begins at induction and ends at graduation. Through discrete and highly personal steps students move from one state, fresher, to an...

متن کاملBound states and the Bekenstein bound
We explore the validity of the generalized Bekenstein bound, S ≤ πMa. We define the entropy S as the logarithm of the number of states which have energy eigenvalue below M and are localized to a flat space region of width a. If boundary conditions that localize field modes are imposed by fiat, then the bound encounters wellknown difficulties with negative Casimir energy and large species number...
متن کاملBound states due to an accelerated mirror
In this Brief Report we discuss an effect of accelerated mirrors which remained hitherto unnoticed, the formation of a field condensate near its surface for massive fields. From the view point of an observer attached to the mirror, this is effect is rather natural because a gravitational field is felt there. The novelty here is that since the effect is not observer dependent even inertial obser...
